Multiple ovarian cysts

I had a transvaginal ultrasound last week and the dr. found 2 cysts on my left ovary, 3 on my right and one in my uterus.  He said that they all were benign and not to worry about them.  I have had a problem with cysts for the last 20 years.  They cause me alot of pain when I get them.  Enough that I have to double over in pain at times.  Just wondering if anyone else has muliple cysts that the dr.s are not concerned with and what you are doing about them.

I am 44 and pre menopausal.  He did not tell me what kind of cysts they are but said they are all very small.  I had a lap 20 years ago for a very painful cysts but it had already resolved on its own by the time of surgery.  I was on bc pills for many years to stop the cysts but have not taken them for 9 years.  As I have gotten older they seem to be getting worse.  I don't know what will happen with these new ones.

I would not be happy with a doctor telling me there were benign and not to worry about them.  How have you dealt with ones in the past?  Did they resolve themselves?  How old are you?  Are you pre or post menopausal?  What kind of cysts and what size?
