Numbness after laparotomy

How long does it take to get the feeling back after a bikini incision to remove a 23cm cyst? My stomach is still numb from the belly button down and the surgery was in February! Not that its doing any harm or anything, just annoying like if i scratch my stomach i get a weird sensation but not the relieving one i might want if i'm itchy... lol... however, my stomach is a great place to warm my hands. can't feel the cold on there, but it still warms my hands...haha... oh well!

Most of the time your numbness would have subsided by now.  I had a completely numb right thigh after my surgery and it took about three months to get the feeling back.  My scars from both my surgeries feel sort of numb, but the surrounding area was back to normal a couple of months after my surgery.   I have heard of some cases where the numbness is permanent.  You should mention this to your doctor to see if he has any suggestions for helping the numbness.  So glad you have found a positive side to the symptom...:).  It is a pain to have cold hands! :)
