Ovarian Cyst - When will the bleeding and pain stop - over 6 weeks of bleeding

I had an IUI done on Feb 8. March 6 I had sever pains in my groin area - had an ultra sound done on March 8 when we found out there was no heart beat. March 14th I started my miscarriage. The pain has been agonizing and when I complained my doc told me it is normal. April 8 I ended up in the ER after sever pain on passing out borderline. I was told I have 5cm cyst on my right ovary and not to worry it will go away by itself. Also they found out I had UTI and became anemic since I have been bleeding non stop since March 14. I am still in horrible paralyzing pain. Taking pain killers  which do not really help. I am light headed and get dizzy a lot. Bowel movement is a nightmare. I just don't know what to do anymore. I am in pain and bleeding for over 6 weeks and all I get from my doc is - it will go away. Please help. My boss is just about done with me because I miss work due to not being able to drive or sit. My wedding is in 4 weeks and I am terrified that I will still be in this pain.

Thank you ladies so much for your comments.
I did request for the medical records and found a different doctor to do a follow up ultrasound. It was originally a 5.8cm cyst and as of May 1st it was a "4.8 cm complex right adnexal mass with multiple loculations"
Doc did advise me the bleeding was ab normal and he put me on the pill for 1 month to see if it will help. Took my first pill on May 1st and today there is hardly any bleeding at all!!! Pain from cramping is still there but I am walking and functioning much better. I almost cried with relief when he first saw me and pressed from the outside saying "even without the ultrasound I can feel a big mass and understand why you are in so much pain". It is amazing how different this doc is and how he listened to every little thing and worry I had. I have a followup ultrasound on June 14th when we hope the cyst will decrease substantially.
There is no need for D&C since everything is clean - no pregnancy residue. The pain and bleeding are a direct result of the cyst and from his calculations I also got my period the week prior to my visit which intensified everything. I always had a painful period but nothing like what I am going through. Bowel movement is also getting better. Looks like things are heading in the right direction. I just wish this would have been over by my wedding but according to doc it will take at least 2 more months before this will completely dissolve - better than nothing right?
Again, thank you for the kind words, comments and suggestions. Wishing you all the best!!!

First I want to  say I'm sorry for your loss. :(   Second, MY goodness, I cannot believe your dr is just letting this happen.  IF I were you, I'd seek a 2nd opinion.  Bleeding for 6 weeks solid is an awful long time..no wonder you're anemic.  Adding the pain that you've been in, something needs to be done!!

Seek a 2nd opinion...sometimes cysts do NOT go away by themselves..but I think more importantly you shouldn't be bleeding this long.  You may need a D&C.   I really hope you get some help soon.  Best of luck to you!!

Also I wanted to add..your bowel pain is probably due to the cyst.  I have one on each ovary about an inch and a half in size and sometimes they hurt sooo bad when I'm trying to have a bowel movement.

I would see a different doctor. Most doctors feel a lap should be done with the cyst is that big.

What type of cyst did he say it was?

I would ask for your ultrasound report and see another doctor.

Have you always had pain when it comes to your period?
