Ovarian Lesion

I had an ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound, the pelvic ultrasound reported that I had a complex cyst.  The transvagianl ultrasound stated that in my ovary was a 2.2cm hypoechoic lesion, possibly hemoraghic cyst and less likely a endrometrioma.  on another note, the same day I had a mammagram which stated that I have 2 nodular densities in both breasts.  I am really nervous as I know that the ovarian cyst has been there for over a year..
any help would be greatly apprecitated.

I heartily agree with Cirella.. One thing that should comfort you is that if indeed it is the same cyst, it hasn't gotten any larger. However, it would be hard to tell , I would think , that is the exact same cyst..They come and go so frequently that  it very well could be another one altogether.

All this to say, what is he/she planning to do ? Usually the cysts are monitored every 3-4 months then if they get above a certain size, they are usually removed.

Also, with the breast issue.. I hate to sound like a little parrot ,but you should be speaking to your Dr. about this as well.. At least you have 2 for 2 opinions right?!
Take care,
Sandy

Thanks for your comments..  The last sonogram I had was due to the fact that my pcp felt something in my abdomen..thats when they found the cyst in my ovary over a year ago..  gyn said it was really small and not to worry about it..  recently, i have been having lots of lower back pain and thigh pain and heavy/clotting periods, so i went back to the gyn.. thats when I had the other vaginal ultrasound was done and the cyst still there.  believe it or not.. my gyn doesn't have a fax machine, so I have to wait for snail mail to arrive... with the test results...

Hi and welcome to the cyst forum.

You said your cyst has been there for over a year.  Were these ultrasounds done to monitor or are you having more symptoms?  Not sure if the cyst found last year is the same cyst.  In menstruating women, cysts come and go each month with our cycles.  Are you having a repeat ultrasound in a month or so?

I'm sorry, with no more information it's hard to say.  I think that your doctor should have given you some followup information.

As for your breast issue, whenever something out of the ordinary is found they usually let your doctor know and more intensive testing is done.

I think you should call your doctor to ask about both issues.
Take care!
