Ovarian Mass or Cyst? Please Help
Had ultrasounds done in ER recently and here were the radiology findings...left ovary is 3.97 x 2.11 x 3.37 cm as compared to my right ovary at 2.89 x 1.88 x 2.20 cm.  Left ovary contains a mildly complex hypoechoic mass measuring 2.35 cm.  affected ovary has a normal blood flow.  Radiologist Impression is....A complex 2.35 cm left ovarian hypoechoic mass that likely represents an involuting cyst.  So is this a mass or a cyst? do radiologists typically refer to a cyst as a mass?  radiologists recommendations were a repeat ultrasound in 6-12 weeks but I am getting in asap.
