Ovarian cysts or something worse-please help:(

Hi. I have had lots of issues with functional ovarian cysts in the past, as well as fibroids before, that were removed. Now, I really don't know what is going on and need some advice of what to ask the drs, etc... I am in my mid 30's, and have kids. I keep feeling terrible.

It seems like I am always tired beyond belief, but have hyper kids. I started having flat stools again, as I did a 3 years ago (these were checked by colonoscopy and were hems). Now, I have these, and they are not changing at all, just flat, odd shaped usually every day.Sometimes there is a normal shape, but they always have a flattened side or whatever. I am getting another scope soon.

Ok, on the ovarian issue, I was feeling crampy mid cycle three months ago, which was really odd for me... I never get cramps like that. Then, the next cycle, I had horrible cramps 5 days before my cycle, almost sending me to the ER. I took meds to help the pain. Then, as I had my period, the pain dissolved a bit and returned like crazy after my cycle, and I had continuous pain for a month. I contacted my Obgyn, and they performed an U/S and found a functional cyst on my ovary. I was give bcp to remove this. Well, I was doing ok, still having some pain, but once I got to the placebo and had a cycle last week, it was very strong, pain and all. I also had bloating and 7 pounds of weight gain last month, that is still hanging on. I had a TVU to look at the U/S and the 2 drs that checked it out, said that they thought it was a functional cysts and shouldn't be causing so many issues. Well, now, I am bloated beyond belief, my stomach is looking quite large, and I am not as crampy since going back on my pills, just very concerned. Is TVU accurate? I feel miserable, and feel nauseous as I write this- I don't feel like I am urinating enough etiher. My mom/grandma both had endometriosis, and my mom had her ovary removed in 30s, as it was huge. Please reassure me that there are other things going on. thanks.

Thanks- I do go back for an u/s next week, do you think that is what they normally do- have you come back to reobserve it? I will probably set up an apt with the gy/onc as well. I just found out they are separate from obgyn. They have lots of tests on site at this office, but I don't understand the bloating. I am getting worried- I am hoping it is due to the cyst, or sprintec bcp.

A cyst can cause pain no matter the size or type.  Functional cyst can hurt as bad a complex cysts.  I would ask for a repeat ultrasound mid cycle to see what is going with you taking the pill.  If it is shrinking, then perhaps the pill is working.  I did not have luck with the pill shrinking my cysts.  I had to end up getting them taken out.  Is it possible to get another opinion?  Is it possible for you to see a gynecologist/oncologist (not because I think it is  cancer) because they have 3 years more schooling and deal with these issues everyday.  They would have a better understanding on what is going on.  Don't let them give you the run around.  It is your body and nobody knows it like you do.  If you think something is wrong, it probably is.  Good luck and keep us posted.
