Ovary cyst and birth control pill.

I had an ovary cyst which was occasionally painful. my gyno said once i started going on the pill it should go away.
So i started taking the pill at the start of my cycle this month. and usually i have extreme period cramps anyways, but the past week of the start of taking the pill i have been having a lot of pain. especially on the ovaries. i also have been feeling sick occasionally but that could be something else. im just wondering if its okei that i am experiencing pain  on my ovaries with the start of taking the birth control pill?

It takes my body about 4 months to adjust to a new pill or birth control, I have had cysts, endormetriosis and pelvic pain for about 3 years. I would give it a couple more months and if it's still not better try changing your birth control. I use the Nuraring back to back with no breaks, and it helped lessen the amount of cysts. Estostep and orthtryciclon made them worse.

It can take months for birth control to start helping w/ ovarian cysts.  You are probably just experiencing pain from the cyst, which is normal.
