Pain...from the belly button down

Had really bad abdominal pain on Monday, went to the emerg.  They said I was constipated.  Wow!  5 weeks after laprascopic surgery and I feel like my insides are bruised.  Is this normal?  I also am feeling like I am having weird pain like twinges up inside bladder uterus I am not sure.  What do you make of this.

Yes..it can take a long time for everything to work normally again after surgery.   It is very common.  Constipation was a recurring issue for me after my surgery.  Two things that have worked for me are Miralax and Benefiber.  Miralax is a laxative but can be taken daily until you get regulated.  Benefiber is more for maintenance so you won't get to that place again.  Neither of them cause cramping and they don't have taste. They dissolve in your tea or juice.  With other laxatives, I was never able to get regulated after my surgery.  They were too harsh and then the constipation would recur.  After a few months, your body should go back to normal.  Try not to do too much lifting or activities that strain your abdomen.  Even with laprascopic surgery, you need to be careful to give your body time to heal.  I hope you feel better soon.
