Painful endometrioma

I was diagnosed with endometrioma cyst on my left ovary last May of 2011 with 4.9cm.My OB said we will wait for another 3mos until August then by that time we will decide for removal thru operation.Unfortunately, no sched has been arranged yet for the said operation.I experienced intermittent pain on my abdominal pain last few months ago and presently experiencing now  severe pain on the same area. The pain also radiates on my back area.Is there any complications already? What remedy should I do for the meantime we were planning for the operation next year hopefully on January 2012.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
If surgery is not being planned in the near future, then the endometriosis can be kept in control by medical means. This is done with the help of hormones like progestins and GnRH anologues. Consult your Doctor.
Take care and good luck.
