Post op Lifting

It's nearly 8 weeks since my Op, I had laparotomy (bikini line)
They told me to not lift a kettle till 6 weeks, but I'm not allowed to go gym or lift heavy stuff till 3 months. Does anyone know the guidelines to lifting? As I'm a dental nurse and I have a very run about lift stuff job. So I don't want to push my self too much. Before op I used to carry 25kg boxes (previous job) but being told I can't lift heavy stuff I'm not sure where the line is.
Thanks in advance :) xx
