Thanks! yes I have noticed that once I started walking around more the bloating did begin to "pass" I am feeling much better now. I do have an appt with my Gyn so I'll have my menopause questions ready for him!
Now I just have to be careful not to over do things as I start to get back to normal.
Bloating is very normal following surgery as your bowel recovers. I recommend walking as much as possible as this gets the gas to move through. I know this is not easy following surgery due to pain. Hopefully you both have postoperative appointments with the MDs who did your surgery so that you can get checked. In terms of the menopausal symptoms I would speak to the gynecologist who did your surgery.
I had one ovary removed last week as well as my fallopian tube and a large dermoid cyst. One of my incisions is larger, about 4 inches, and I am bloated like crazy also! I am on pain killers when I can't take it, but try not to very often. It is still painful on a consistent basis.
I am interested to read replies about the bloating though! I feel like a balloon!!! Hope you are feeling better soon!
