Ruptured Ovarian Cyst

Every since last September of 2009 I have had a cyst rupture every single month. They develop I start to feel them and by that time its too late and they rupture that night. I have had a total of 7 cyst rupture so far like I said every single month. I was on Mirena for a year and a half then started developing these cyst so in Jan of 2010 I had the Mirena removed and was put on the Nuvra ring, but that doesnt seem to help either. Has any one else had this same problem? I really dont know what's wrong with me is there any test I should have the doctor run on me to find out whats wrong?
I just want to stop having pain. And I am only 22 years old so I cant just have my ovaries removed because I am too young.

Try to find a gyno that only deals with surgery and women's problems, not obstetrics/babies.

I am so annoyed I really am I finally heard back from the doctors office and my doctor said my blood test came back normal, so she doesnt know whats wrong with me basically. I went to her because my OBGYN was idiotic but atleast my regular doctor tried she gave me a number for a different OBGYN so hopefully they can help me. I was really hopeing she would find something! And my sono was normal too I had some free fluid too so my guess I had another cyst burst because I have had alot of pain this week, its been horrible.

keep me updated! Don't forget, cysts can be inside the ovary too. I know that most of my cyst bursting were the cysts that grow on the outside (because saw them on the ultrasound), but what I'm going through now is from cysts inside my ovary. My previous doctors never told me that my ovary was growing. They didn't see a cyst on the outside so thought I was fine (even though free fluid in pelvis).  You'll see the dimensions on the ultrasound reports. Note- if you see it growing, you'll likely have cysts on the inside.

Well thats a very good thing that there was no cancer! :) Yes when cyst burst it feels like my insides are burning and makes me puke or just want to puke. I never had one rupture while I was trying to go to the bathroom but I could see how that would happen. My rupture and most of the time I am not doing anything just get a sudden burst of pain. One time my ruptured like a min after me and husband had intercourse well thats why we stopped because it started hurting really bad. I still havent heard from my doctor but I am supposed to get the results back today.

no cancer!!! doc still doesnt know what it is. will post more when i know. hope you're feeling ok. i hate cysts bursting. it feels like everything falls out of you. i never had bleeding with sex but sometimes it would hurt. i find that my cysts burst when i was on the toilet. tmi- i think it was when i "pushed" to urinat or have a bm. Using those muscles would sometimes burst the cyst. not that i tried to burst them, but it would happen if i had to go to the bathroom. does that happen to you? sometimes they just burst when im doing nothing, but most of the time if i was using those muscles (pc muscles maybe?)

Yes let me know what you find out, hopefully its nothing too serious. I am still waiting to hear from my doctor to see what my blood results said. I am very anxious. I feel like I have another cyst which means in my case its going to rupture soon. :( I hate this I hate being in pain, I we are kinda in the same boat on this one I am sure. My kidneys wont stop hurting either they said I had a kidney infection I have been taking antibiotics for 7 days now and still no relief. I went to the doctors yesterday about my kidneys and they gave me some anti inflammatorys, so hopefully that helps. When I have a cyst its painful when my husband and I have intercourse and I always bleed after wards. Does everyone else have that two?

I am glad to hear that I am not in this alone, none of my family or friends no what I am going through. I just got my blood drawn today and hopefully they can figure out what I have. I dont really think I have PCOS either because some of the symptoms dont fit like you said your supposed to have multiple cyst and I dont I usually only have one at a time I have had two at a time like just recently. So hopefully the info from my lab comes back so they can diagnose me. I have become the sick person in my family that people pitty I hate that. like I said I am 22 I have no appendix no gallbladder and all these cyst problems. And just yesterday I had to go to urgent care because I had real bad pain in my back which turned out to be a kidney infection.

I am a basket case!

I had this exact thing happen to me last year up until about two months ago. I know exactly what you are going through and its no fun. It seems everytime I had an ultrasound they found a 7 cm cyst or two! I was living in pain for two weeks out of the month. After much frustration with doctors I took myself off birth control. I've been on BC since I was 14 (when I had my first cyst). I had cysts about once every two years burst, and then once a year, and then last year... every month!
Well I have been off birth control for two months now and have not had a cyst at all. However, last year as this all was happening I began to get a constant cyst like pain in my right ovary. I've had MRI, ultrasounds, bloodwork, etc. They don't show anything. I'm having laprascopy tomorrow to figure out what it is. I know some cysts won't show on ultrasounds. It could be adhesions from all the cysts I've had, or it could be endo, or it could be a hidden cyst.
Dr. says I dont have PCOS because thats many tiny cysts on the ovaries. Good luck and I hope we can figure this out together. I'll try and post what I found out after surgery because maybe it will help you!

Well my doctor thinks I might have PCOS but she is doing some blood test to comfirm. With that she is switching me to birth control pills and if I have that I will have to take some medicine that controls my insulin levels. I just hope I find a anwser to my problem because I hate being in pain every month. My OBGYN didnt think the mirena was causing all the cyst but my regular doctor said yes the mirena might not be causing it but its not helping them either. So she wanted to switch me to a different kind and I have only had the nuvra ring a month and a half now and its not working so hopefully the pills work better for me.

I wanted to have my tubes tied since I have two kids a four year old and a 2 year old boy and a girl. But my doctor said that I am too young and it wont solve my cyst problem either.

Nobody has a perfect answer why cysts occur.  Hormones are a factor, though.  Is it possible your body does not tolerate these types of BC, or that they are actually causing the problem?  What about the more traditional pill?  Oral BC is usually what a doctor prescribes to try to solve a cyst problem.
