Separated ovarian cyst in pregnancy

Hi everyone! I am 6 weeks pregnant and I have had some pretty bad cramping, so I went in to the ER today and found out baby is just fine (thank God for that!) but they found a 60 mm (6 cm)  "internally septated cystic mass" and that the "septa ruins have easily demonstrable internal blood flow"...The ER Doctor just told me to schedule an appointment with my OB ASAP, but not much else, and of course it is a long weekend, and I am dying to know what this means for my unborn baby and myself! Has anyone had this happen? Will I need surgery (the ER Doctor said I most likely will) I am so nervous, I am trying to stay calm but I am having a very hard time doing so!

Thanks so much of any of your help, thoughts or input! I really appreciate it!

I am sorry I was away this week end. I am not familiar with your situation. I know you are nervous that is normal with the unknown. You have a very low risk of it being cancer so I would not worry about that. I am sure they will not do anything to risk the baby.
