Well this may be late, but congrats on conceiving hehe. I had my followup today. I saw the cyst. My ovary was so full of hair , it was poking out of it. He said it is benign ( which I'm very thankful for). The cyst was inside my ovary, which I didn't know. I can return to working out next week, intercourse in 3 weeks, and I have to wait about 6 months before trying for a baby. So I guess I am fertile. I'm afraid of getting pregnant before the 6 months are up and miscarry, yes I'm always a worrier.
I had secondary infertility and took clomid which was not successful (although it is for some women). I was then prescribed an injectable drug (don't know the name) and conceived the first cycle at the age of 34 (had my first child at age 28). Best of luck to you!
Thank you very much for those kind words. It is great that I still have some sort of ovary left, I go in tomorrow for my post op to discuss fertility and where do I start. Most likely I would be put on clomid. As being 32 years old yes I know I'm still young, but have been dreaming of having children for so long. I hope all goes well. I will update after the post op.
Welcome to the community. I am glad to hear you still have 25% of your ovary. That should give you a normal or close to normal chance of conceiving. Unfortunately, far too many surgeons remove an ovary when all they should remove is the cyst. That can cause infertility as well as reduce ovarian hormones (or even stop them altogether) for the rest of a woman's life. Ovarian hormones are essential to every aspect of a woman's health and the loss of these hormones has many medically documented health risks and quality of life impacts.
I hope you are soon recovered and are able to conceive!
My doctor ruled out cancer without a biopsy which is weird. My endo is good, uterus is perfect :-) cyst suck
hi! how come that it was diagnosed as cancer already? too bad.. is your endometrium normal ? me, too I have cysts on both ovaries
