Surgery scheduled Thursday and I am afraid I am coming down with a cold.

I am scheduled for surgery this Thursday morning, laporsocopic to remove both ovaries and tubes, and a D & C to check things out as a precaution. All my blood work was normal. My question is, I feel like I am getting a cold, scratchy throat, little cough....Oh dear is that going to be an issue if I have no fever or anything, and after the D & C will I bleed? I am 57 and haven't had a period in 15 years...

Thank you, I will call my doctor this morning and tell her and see what she says. I will keep you posted.

I'm going to say that you should call your doctor and tell them you may be coming down with a cold. Normally they will cancel elective cases if you are sick. And I would expect to have bleeding with the d&c. Good luck to you :)
