Will surgeon give me a hard time if I ask for additional time off post surgery?

I am a manager at my job and do heavy heavy lifting everyday.  I am to return to work around 5 weeks currently..Sept 13...At this time I can still feel my belly button area tender and pulling...My energy level is down...feel drained after having my ovary and fallopian tube removed laproscopically in emergency surgery because of a huge cyst.

They shouldn’t give you a hard time everyone is different and your job/dr should understand that

I’m 2 weeks post op from laprascopic L ovary/tube removal and R ovarian cyst. I’m due to go back tomorrow. Rather nervous about it.

Everyone heals at a different pace, so I would say try to get more time off if you feel tired.  It can't hurt to ask. I also had a cyst removed about 4 weeks ago and still feel weak, so you're not alone. Hope you feel better soon.
