iam 37yrs old. and mother of 2 children.
iam suffering from severe pain due to  multiple cysts in right ovary largest measuring 52x 34mm.
i was suffering from pain in the lower abdomen during periods  since last 4 years.( now the pain is there on all days) i underwent laproscopic surgery 7 months ago. and had my left ovary removed.the fluid in the cysts of the right ovary was  suctioned out.i was on lupride 11.25mg. 5 months i did not get my periods. wen i got it the pain is back. a recent scan showed the abv mentioned report. Is hysterectomy the only and the final solution in my case? iam having severe pain which was only during periods and has now become an every day affair. i take various pain killers to keep me going. bleeding is normal during periods.pain is localised to the right lower abdomen radiating to the back. doctor has put me back on lupride. but no significant change in pain. iam struggling hard to avioid hysterctomy. can u guide me wat can be done in this case?

Hi,

I read your post a few times then I just came to the same conclusion that Trudie did.
I'm not a Dr. of course, but I just don't see any other alternative either. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this.

Please keep us posted,
Sandy

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time.  Unfortunately surgery is going to be necessary.  They may be able to save your remaining ovary but they never know until they get in there.

I'm in the reverse position.  I wanted the hysterectomy when they were removing my cyst but the adhesions were too bad so only the ovary and tube got taken.  Now I worry that I will get another cyst on the other side.

Good luck!
