awaiting ultrasound - symptoms

Hello, I am 44, overweight but fit and healthy with no medical issues to date.  I began to have pain in my hip a couple of months ago and around that time (I think as I didn't at all connect the two) I seemed to gain weight - at least my tummy did.  I visited my GP last week with constant bloating, abdominal tenderness which has subsided since, hip pain which comes and goes throughout the day and can radiate down my leg and I also have back pain throughout the day. I have occasional nausea, I get hungry but cannot finish a complete meal.  I have a lot of gas and I am very, very tired.  My period did not show up this month (I am regular and it should have started 11 days ago) and June I only had a period for one day!
It seems to me to be a cyst although the doctor couldn't feel anything - I am now awaiting an ultrasound which should be within next 10-14 days.  Am I right in thinking this sounds like a cyst? HPTs are negative.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
HI,
Whether there is an ovarian cyst can only be definitely said after doing an ultrasound. The symptoms of gas and bloating can be due to gastritis or reflux. Dietary modification and antacids may help. For the back pain, hip pain which radiates to the leg you should seek an opinion from an orthopaedic specialist.
Hope this helps.
