thanx wil let you know how i go. i only just finished treatment for breast cancer 6 months ago. had double mastectomy and chemo and radiation, so am a bit worried that this large complex cyst with septations might be cancer

I too had complex cysts (with solid mass), one was 5cm and there were two others on the same ovary that were 3 & 4cm.

I saw two specialists and one wanted to try shrinking the cysts with Lupron (endometriosis treatment that throws you into a temporary menopause) and the other wanted to do surgery.  I opted for surgery and had it done last Friday.

Most friends that i talked to in the health industry and doctors in general felt that removal was the best course of action.  My recovery has been going well and I'm glad that i decided to have the cysts removed.  My ca-125 was extremely elevated so i had to have surgery no matter what - it was just whether i'd leave the cysts in or not.

Good luck!

It can resolve, or it may just be in a place now that it is not causing as much pain.  Unless a cyst is adheared to other organs it can move freely (at least that is what I have heard).  I have a 5.25cm cyst.  I know some days I hurt very badly, others just a nagging pain, and then other days I don't hurt at all.  I'm glad you are not in as much pain.  Please let us know what you find out at the doctors

That's big and a candidate for surgery.  It can resolve, yes, if it does not present much solid mass.
