can my nausea be related to dermoid cyst

I was recently told that I have a dermoid cyst which is 7cm. My doctor seems in no rush to remove it and wants to schedule the surgery for almost 3 months from now.
I am wondering if I should look for another doctor who could remove it sooner. I have also been suffering from nausea for the last few weeks and am wondering if this could somehow be related. I know I am not pregnant. I cannot find any information about symptoms people experience with dermoid cysts.
Thanks for your help

I have a dermoid cyst too. It's 10 x 10 x 6 cm. I can't believe your docs are ok with waiting 3 months. Mine grew rather quickly so my doc was ready to take it out the day after my appointment, but I talked him down to a week from then so I could sort it out with work and my family. It's set for tomorrow...wish me luck!

I did go through bouts of naseua and diarrhea. It was like one week I'd be completely constipated and then the next week, I'd have diarrhea. I think cysts just mess with a bunch of other stuff in your body.

I don't know how you feel about waiting three months for your surgery...I felt like this past week was torture waiting on surgery. I would definitely see if there's another doc who sees this as more urgent.

Hi there i have just been told i have a dermoid cyst also the size of a apple after much much pain and taken to hospital they found it on a ct ct scan then transvaginal ultrasound, i was first told i was having it removed that evening as urgent but then my pain died down so i went back as a out patient and now i have to wait up to 3 months also, i am confused as i was told they can rupture and mine did twist and cause me agony but now they are in no rush.
I have been researching them and i am in shock with what i have read about them having hair, teeth, and cartlidge etc how vile is that?
I am sooo scared it can rupture and i get pins and needles down my left leg all the time and read they can cut blood supply, do you have this sympton?

Hi,
Yes nausea can be a symptom of cysts.. and dermoid cysts can become quite large I understand. There will be ladies with "Dermoid " experience replying, I'm sure And yes, you can always get a 2nd opinion if you're not comfortable with your present Dr. Keep checking this forum and I'm sure you'll hear from ladies that have had Dermoid Cysts..
