cant see right ovary

I had a cyst on my right ovary that was being monitored to see if was going away on its own. I went in for ultrasound but the tech couldn't even see right ovary on monitor. she told me that probably meant the cyst was gone. my ob/gyn is sending me in for another ultrasound in 2 weeks at different facility. I haven't had a period in
7 months but my labs said im not in menopause. what could be going on? ive been going for test since oct. and still have no answers. in the mean time, still bloated, no period, back pain and fatigue.

Have they done a urinalysis test? I've had kidney stones before and the pain I've been experiencing in my lower back is quite intense yet different from actual kidney stone pain.
On my first ultrasound they had trouble seeing my right ovary so they switched to a transvag ultrasound. I've had 4 of these done over 3-4 months. It's been a long drawn out process that's honestly frustrated me. I'm scheduled for surgery on the 3rd of February. Hoping for the best but my symptoms have gotten worse.
Through my experience I guess my best advice to you is be your own advocate and push for results.
I am pleased to hear that your Dr is actually pushing for better results whereas mine was more or less the opposite.
I wish you the very best of luck and keep us posted

Ithank you for reaching out. I do have stomach pain-sometimes feels like ive been punched in the stomach, but really my lower back is the worst. I thought for sure it would have been my kidneys-not ovarian cyst. I guess I will just be patient and wait for results from the next one, then go from there.

I am experiencing the same symptoms, having only missed 1 period so far (periods have always been irratic, but never "missed" completely).  I just wanted to post to you to reach out really - I don't have an exact answer because I feel very confused myself, and frankly - scared to death.  Anxiety is taking me over with the symptoms and how everything on the internet always pops up the worst possible case...

My thoughts are that your doctor may be looking for a better read on the ultrasound... was your doctor present for reading the results at the same time of your visit? or was it given to her at a later time?  maybe if it was given at a later time she wasn't satisfied with the clarity and wants a second look.

do you have pelvic or ovarian area pain?  just curious - I do...
I also have bloat, especially worse after meals - and differnet bowel habits... scared scared scared.  :(
