Vienna is correct. Thank you for adding to what I said. Endemetriosis can affect fertility bc it affects the uterus. And other conditions such as pcos and completely block the ovary and not let eggs release and may cause her to even have th get her ovaries removed. She just needs to get it under control and find out what she has and why and being treatment or go through possible options especially if she is in a pain or discomfort.

It depends on the type of cyst. You must see a doctor to find out what kind of cyst and what the underlining cause is. For example, if the cyst is an endometrioma cyst, the underlining cause is endometriosis, and that condition impacts fertility. But there are several kinds of cysts cuased by several different conditions.

And I forgot to mention that with a good obgyn or a good gyno oncologist she can get these cysts under control. Most of the time they recommend birth control. Bc the hormones can help her to not get cysts anymore and it can actually SOMETIMES help the cyst go away with out surgery. But in my experience with cysts...7cm is fairly large and shouldnt go untreated very long. My advice...find a gyno oncologist..they r the most qualified to handle these things and they will either look at her recent ultrasound or do another one and take action. Whether that is birth control for a few wks and then come back for another ultrasound to see if its gotten bigger, smaller or stayed the same or they may want to do laprascopy (very non invasive) surgery to remove the cyst for to its size. And a lot of the time this just all depends on what type of cyst it is.

It can only affect her getting pregnant if the cyst is inside and it doesn't let the egg release or if the cyst gets to big and damages her ovary. But there are two ovaries and its still very very possible to get pregnant with just one ovary. Good luck to you guys
