I have been trying to conceive for the previous 9 months (been on 2 courses of chlomid). I had a miscarriage 11 days ago (Saturday) and had the HCG level blood test the Monday after and an ultra sound yesterday to confirm and ensure the 'products' were all naturally passed. I was admitted to casualty when the doctor received the report as there was a fear of eptopic pregnancy. The report says "There is a 24mm heterogenous mass between the right ovary and the uterus with increased colour flow within it and this may represent an eptopic gestation upon the beta HCG levels." I have a history of ovarian cysts and family history of cancer. (mother had hysterectomy to remove tumors in thee area, maternal grandmother died of cancer which had spread throughout body, paternal grandmother had bowel cancer, paternal grandfather died from cancer tht had spread throughout body)
The resident gyno said that it is most likely just another cyst and to return if the pain increases at the level it was, but could not assure me 100%.
I am left wondering what this 'mass' actually is and whether this is going to pose a problem with my trying to conceive or escalate to a more serious problem in the future. (28 yrs old)
