hip pain with ovarian cyst

I have been having hip pain on the right side only.  Can it be connected to the fact I have a chocolate cyst on my right ovary?  I have been having right side pain too.  My ribs sometimes are sensitive to touch.  I am scheduled for a lap in January.  I was just wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms.

Ive had 2 surgeries on my ovaries. diagnosed with endometriosis and PCOS. My last surgery was in June and my doctor was really considering taking out my right ovary due to the cysts. Instead she "cleaned up" my endo and didnt remove the cysts. Said Im too young for these problems. (just turned 21 last month). Ive been havin hip problems for a while, but just learned it could be related to my ovarian problems. How true is this? Ive been reading around the internet and it all seems to come back to ovarian cancer. Should I be worried?

My doctor told me the same, but instead of a hysterectomy, he will give me a shot in each of my ovaries to stop their function. Basicaly he will kill them. He never mentioned just taking  the ovary out. I am getting nervous.

My doctor told me he might remove one ovary(the one with the cyst on it) or he may not have to do anything.  He said if it is endometerosis and it is all over he is then going to suggest doing a hysterectomy.  I am worried.  He wants to play it by ear.

Thats why i have to have the lap. to determine if it is endo. I hate it. The pain is NEVER in both places. My hip hurts, then it feels like i have a knife in my side. I cant take the pill, so depending on what my gyno finds, will determine wether or not i will have anymore children.

1 of my sisters understand, but only because she has PCOS. The rest of them dont get it. And my fiance thinks its all in my head, so i understand what you are going through.

It sounds like you are having similar symptoms that I am having.  The pain moves around.  My side and hip never hurt at the same time.  The doctor said it could be endometerosis.  I hope things go well with your lap.  I will pray that it will.

I have functional cysts on my right side. My hip gets a sever achiness. The pain goes from my pelvis to my ribs, and eveywhere inbetween. Even to my lower back. It seems like the pain is always there. I to have to have a lap on jan 9. I guess the pain can radiate, but who knows. If you get a fever and pain meds dont work call your doc or go straight to the ER. Hope u feel better.
