Rest and relax!  Enjoy the time off.  The gas stuff sux!  Like people have mentioned, a slow walk seems to be really helpful.

So glad you're home.  Really try hard to just rest and relax in addition to some walking.  Let everyone else help you out.  After my surgery I took advantage of the lack of appetite to start my weight loss plan.  It was so much easier not having to quell the appetite in the beginning.  Don't forget to keep on top of your pain meds and get lots of sleep.

Take care, Trudie

Hi Chris
Wow 12lb that must be a relief to have lost that huge weight from your stomach !! . I know what you mean about not having good wind relief meds in the UK . I drank peppermint tea , 3 tea bags in one mug at a time also there is something you can buy from holland and barrett that is really good but I can,t remember the name of it . (If you ask in there they will know it ) . I hope you have a speedy recovery and good news on friday with the pathology report .

Take care , Best wishes Angie

Happy to hear you're home now. So you don't have pills at the store for gas relief? I'm not sure how effective they are anyway. Walking (slowly and carefully) does seem to be the most important thing to do. It straightens out the abdomen and gently massages the bowels as you move around. Don't worry about eating much now. Until everything is moving along (you know what I mean) you won't feel hungry and don't want to add to the load. Eating just seems to add more bloating and gas.

Take it easy for now, drink fluids and do let us know what the test results show. Gentle hugs to you.
