Shelly is absolutely right.  Most doctors like to remove cysts when they reach 5cm or cause a great deal of pain.  It is hopeful that they could remove the cyst laprascopically.  It is a much easier surgery to recover from than a laparotomy.  Please keep us posted on how your doctors appointment goes.  Good luck!!

Usually at 5cm or larger, they want to remove it surgically.  Cysts larger than 5cm run a greater chance of rupturing and causing infection or other problems.  At 9cm, you definitely need surgical removal.  I hope all works out regarding the insurance issues.
