K THANKS. WILL DO WHEN KNW SOMETHING
Most people don't think about the aftercare. Neither did i really - but i sure do now!!! :-) Sorry you have such crummy insurance - but the change might still be worth it considering possible complications with a crummy doctor can cost a whole lot more...in more ways even than just the money - which is a big enough issue as it is. It would extend the recovery and extend how much is leaving your pocket. Just listen to your insticts.....keep me posted if you want.
wow sorry to hear about ur experience..i din't even think about the after care. i'd probably end up dead if had complications before they would ever see me.Looking into another dr but bein a new patient they all have at least a month or more to be seen and our insurance wont cover unless go back to primary care giver for a referrel and they r booked for the next month. This health care system is messed up.we pay 82 dollars a week for my husbands health care and it covers very little and after paying all that we still have no say in our care....crazy.......thanx for ur comment..hope u have total healthy recovery
One more thing - sorry. another reason I think you should find a new doctor is I'm concerned about your aftercare. You do not want to have a disinterested, inept docotr after you have had surgery! A five inch hematoma brewing after my hysterectomy was diagnosed as a bladder infection even after having a 104 fever. Wound up in ER 3 days later when it burst and got to stay in a hopital bed for 3 more days being pumped with 4 different antibiotics. Aftercare is HIGHLY IMPORTANT!!!!
You need to find another doctor - you're basically begging for surgery - sounds ridiculous, especially with the pain you are having. Insist they give you something stronger for pain. Tell them the Ultram is not doing anything = will help endure the wait. But really - please transfer your records to a new doctor. I think that would be smarter. They don't seem to be treating you fairly and seriously. Good luck....do the right thing for you. Don't worry about hurting anyone's feelings or anything.
I had some rib pain, lack of appetite, pregnant looking belly and eventually sleeping problems, but no, I had no ovary pain or bladder issues which is some of the most common symptoms. Not having pain wont prepare you for surgery the same way, you are looking forward to yours to get relief, I didnt. In some insane say I believe some pain is good, you get diagnosed sooner and (probably) cope a bit better with the thought of surgery.
I had my surgery in November and am well on my way to recovery.
I guess the waiting time depends on your situation (emergency or not), various risk factors, waiting lists in your area etc. It is a sad situation to be stuck in, but hopefully you will remain stable.
Good luck, I hope everything goes well for you.
wow, you are not having pain? you are lucky! i don't think the time too wait is reasonable but apparantly the dr's staff does. You dont have any symptoms? er dr said mayb the hernia was causing my pain but it shouldnt he said when nothing is pushin thru it yet....YET the key word i guess! good luck to u.. god bless
4 months is quite long, not sure if it is "reasonable" when you need two surgeons to be available at the same time. I waited 3 months, 21*17*12 cm cyst and no pain, although I had/got other unpleasant symptoms.
Try chatting your GP about pain relief to make the wait more bearable.
