is this normal after surgery?
32 year old female, sexually active with one partner. 6 weeks ago had a D&C, endometrial ablation & tubal ligation due to very heavy bleeding. Past overian cysts averaging over 2 inches. I am not experiencing vaginal dryness, burning, thick yellowish discharge (which they told me to expect), pain in my left side (almost like period cramps but only one side). My 6 week checkup (due to holidays) with my obgyn is late July and where I live it will take 6 months to get into someone else. Is this normal? What can I do to help the burning\dryness? Suggestions?

HI,
Because of the yellow discharge and cramping it is necessary to rule out infection. Treatment of local infection will help. Another reason for burning can be dryness caused by lack of local hormones. Here oestrogen creams will be of help.
Hope this helps.
