left side ovary pain

HI, I have been having left side ovary pain with intestinal pain for over 2 years. I have had many ultrasounds and had to have a lap. procedure just for diagnostic only. She removed some lesions for biopsy and burned some adhesion that were attached to my ovary/abdomen/intestines. I went on Lupron for 6 months. The pain is still there. My question is 3 weeks ago I had a trans vaginal ultrasound and when the tech was looking for my ovary it was very hard to find as was the case in all of my other ultrasounds, but when she was trying to find it she touched the exact spot as where the pain is,I almost jumped off the table. She did find the ovary but couldn't get the outer edge of it.The results came back that I had a small cyst on my right ovary but nothing on the left. I'm so upset that they just brushed me off and said there was nothing there but I felt the pain. Do you have any ideas, any help would be great. Thanks Kathy

I have had Endometriosis and PCOS for 14 years, and have had 6 surgeries to remove cysts. One of those surgeries was removing my left ovary that was embedded in my left intestine. I had pain when I had to urinate and have bowl movements. The gyno found it with an ex ray on pelvic and inside x ray. I had surgery, and have been good until now. I have to have surgery again because of scar tissue.

If it were me, I 'd call the Gyno back. After all,it has been determined you have a cyst. Maybe they'd like to continue to wait, but then again you might ask if a Lap isn't in order.
And regarding Ovarian Cancer, there are other symptoms that you don't seem to have, so I truly wouldn't worry about that..

HI Sandy thanks for replying. the cyst on my right was 2.6 cm and I can feel this one. Not much pain but I know it is there. I'm just worried that my left side pain for be cancer and I keep getting the brush off from doctors. I have been to my GP and OB/GYN and Gastro doc, they keep passing me around like a hot potato. How can they tell it is nothing when I felt the pain during the ultra sound, the pain I have been dealing with for 2 years now. I Don't know if I should go back to my GYNO or call the Gastro Doctor again. thanks for listening, Kathy

Many times the pain from a cyst may be felt on the opposite side. I have no idea why, but I've heart members mention it many times. As far as the cyst, what has your Dr. proposed to you? Many times they will dissolve on their own, but after 2 years, I doubt that it is going to vanish.  You need to ask your Dr. what he suggests. How large was the cyst? Sometimes the next step would be a laparoscopy which you've said you had before. I hope you feel better and let us know.
