Hi, I'm 31 years old and I had laparotomy for the removal of dermatoide cyst with right ovary and tube. My doctor saw small cyst in my left ovary so she pinched them during surgery. I lost blood because the right tube was torsion. So I had three blood transfusions, the surgery was June 1. My concern is when will I have my period, and if its possible to have baby's latter on. Thank you, waiting for your answers, god bless.
Hi. I had a dermatoid 9 cm cyst removed and my right ovary and tubes removed on 24 June 2013. They said it may take a while to have regular period but said my left ovary would take over the job of both ovary. They said that I shouldn't have any problems having children later on when I am ready. Abut 4 weeks after operation I had few days brown blood when I wiped after going to the toilet. I am not sure if this is a period or not because brown blood usually means old blood. I have been a bit all over the place, stuffing with headaches which I normally do not have. I also been having hot flushes and I am still very bloated which is so. I am healing fine I think, the scars are a little itchy. I keep having a few teary days..feeling like hormones are over the place at the min.
I used to have the mirena coil for 11 years and then I had it taken out in April, since then I haven't had periods as such. Just one day bleeding. Then I needed up in a&e with pain on 23rd June and had operation June 24th to have ovary and cyst and tube removed on right side.
Did you have periods before or on any birth control. Am 31 years and now am not on any birth control at the min. Waiting for things to settle and then maybe try having kids in year or so. But am nervous too without the periods when I only had few days brown blood. Have u had this....my doc said it could take few months to settle into a routine and few people on net have said same too.
Hi there, I had a huge dermoid cyst removed and left ovary removed. Just wondered how you are getting on? Are things getting better for you overall?
