hi.
i'm only 13 years old and been ill for 1 month. but had the pain off and on for 2 years. about 3 weeks ago i had a 6cm ovarian cyst removed from my ovaries, i'm just wondering do you think it's right to have pain where the pain was before i had the surgery? and feeling bloated, sick, dizzy, tired and light headed all the time? if you could help, thanks.

Is removal of a 4cm endometriotic cyst absolutely necessary? What are the consequenses of not getting the surgery?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
HI,
The treatment of ovarian cysts depends on the nature of the cyst. In young women these cysts are usually functional cysts and often will resolve spontaneously or with medical management. However if it is a complex cyst or an endometriotic cyst then this will require a laparoscopy and/ or removal. Consult a gynaecologist for an evaluation.
Hope this helps.
