ovarian cyst

I had a complete pelvic ultrasound (tranabdominal and transvaginal)

This was the findings

There is fluid in the endometrial canal. Endometrial thickness is 6.7 mm. No myometrial lesion is present. The uterusmeasures 4.8 x 6.0 x 9.8 cm. The patient has had a previous right oophorectomy, with suregery six weeks ago. She now has a complex left ovarian cyst, most likely hemorrhagic, measuring 3.0 x 3.9 x 4.7 cm with the left ovary measuring 5.1 x 5.8 x 6.3 cm in diameter. An insignificant amount of fluid is seen in the cul-de-sac.

What does this mean?  Should I be concerned?  I had the right ovary removed due to a dermoid cyst 6.8 cm.

Cyst grow when they want and how quick they want. So it is possible for it to grow in 7weeks. Mine grow everytime i ovulate, then they almost always rupture. Get in to see your doctor.

The cyst before was a dermoid cyst.  It had hair, mucus glands, lung tissue and 2 teeth.  Gross I know!  The Dr. who did the surgery said he looked at the left overay and it was free and clear of cyst.  Is it possible for a cyst to grow this fast in 7 weeks?  I hav already made an appointment to see another Dr.

You have another complex cyst on your remaining ovary and any complex cysts gives a bit more to worry about due to its solid components, but keep in mind that most cysts are benign anyway.  Talk to your doctor and what approach he/she will take. They will probably watch it for a few weeks to see what happens. Are your cycles normal?  Cysts are a hassle, but most of the time are nothing to worry about. Just talk to your doctor and ask him to discuss the report with you.

was that done at the ER? you can google hemorrhagic cysts, and it will give you links to find out more about that kind of cyst. If you are worried call a ob/gyn and ask them about it. Or go to webmd.com and in the search bar type in the kind of cyst it is. I have functional cysts, so i cant give you a answer on hemorrhagic cysts. Hope you feel better.
