pain after ovarian cyst removal

Dear friends,
I am 44 and had ovarian cyst removal on right side 3 weeks back and it was  recovering smoothly;
I can recall it as a surgery with no any pain, I did not strain my self and taking plenty of rest while doing
light household work. And week after the surgery I had my regular periods without any pain.But today evening I  have a sudden stabbing pain on my right side and feeling confused: should I call the doctor or wait a little and see or shall I take a painkiller;  or what are the symptoms to count it as an emergency........? pl answer me someone....

The stabbing pain could very well be from the surgery and healing that is still taking place. However, if it has continued and is debilitating you need to see your doctor.
