pain all the time

Hi. I found out about a year ago that I had a cyst on my ovaries. Usually it hurts in my lower stomach 1-2 weeks before my period..during my period and about a week afterwards.. and sometimes I just have the pain randomly and have to use a heating pad to make it feel better. and I actually have a heating pad near my bed every night because nearly every night I have had to use it.. Will this pain just continue, over time will it go away or would I have to have surgery if it gets worse? I heard that people who have got surgeries to get rid of ovarian cysts that it didn't do anything to help it. I'm just sick of this constant pain all the time. Please let me know what I can do.

Definitely sounds like ovarian cyst pain, I'm amazed you put up with it this long.  Hasn't your doctor done *anything,* like put you on the pill to try to shrink it?  I'd go see him tomorrow effing morning and say you absolutely need to have this dealt with.

That sounds very much like the pain I had for about 6 months.  I had surgery in May to remove two cysts.  The pain is not completely gone yet, but it is much, much better.  In fact, I just had an almost pain-free period and am hoping that's the way they are from here on out.
