well time has past another ultrasound down...now its 2 folicle cyts on left and a complex with septations and echoes on right the gyno has done nothing and seems to think that my pain that im having has nothing to to with the female organs that is more of a gi problem. i have had lower bak pain and lower pelvic pain mostly on left side, bloating ,fatigue, nasea, and distened stomache and pain after i eat, if there is anybody out there that can discuss this with me that would be awsome, been thru 2 gynos and they both have kinda of looked at me like im crazy, but i did have a partially ruptured cyst in the beginning of this then had a period and things changed to what they are now its been over a month now and i really have not got any direct anwsers or direction, ive just been sent home with pain meds to sit in wonder and pain.......anybody ?????
i only say risk because this cyst is still intacted its just partially ruptured so i guess i just am concerned for the amount of blood in the abdomenial cavity if and when it decides to fully rupture. .i know the pain will still be there. and personally im really shocked to think that my gyno didnt think it was necesary to do a ultrasound or even see if there was anything else that may be wrong in addition to the cyst,or to see if this cyst is growing....im really scared that the gyno may not be taking the proper steps in my situation. he has really not given me anymore info other then what i already know from the ct.he has done blood work and pelvic exam. do you think is is taking the right steps or maybe im over reacting. just dont know if i can trust him .he did not seem very professional
Yes, it could have ruptured further, causing more blood and more pain. However, it doesn't change the situation aside from your discomfort. *Completely sympathize* with the frustration of not being able to do anything about the pain, but aside from watching for signs of infection there's really nothing else anyone can do. The situation just takes time. I'm not sure what "risk" you're concerned about; the only risk I'm aware of is for infection, which doesn't happen for most people. The first 2 weeks after my rupture I felt panicky and frustrated with the pain; it didn't seem like it should hurt that much and I didn't think they understood just how much pain I was in. They just kept telling me to wait, and after 3 weeks of crazy pain it tapered off and now at 4.5 weeks it's pretty much back to normal. Breathe, take care of your kids, eat healthy, breathe some more... it will be okay, it just takes time.
my gyno refused to do an ultrasound cause he believed it was not necessary. got spiritul with me and told me i worry to much. but i also have a history of fibriods and polps ...what do think should i get a second opioion.
if my cyst is only partially ruptured and cause blood to move around my adomenial cavity and cause severe pain. do you think that this cyst can fully rupture and cause even more pain and bleeding.....tell me what you think trying to figure out if i really need to just wait this out or am i at risk while waiting....hum what do i do....what would you do?
My rupture was a hemorrhagic cyst and I had extensive blood in the abdominal cavity. Blood is an irritant, so was told that it would be painful until the blood reabsorbed. They couldn't tell me how long that would be, as everyone is different. For me, it was severe for 3 weeks. I don't like taking anything, and did not find anything that gave any relief anyway. While in such pain it's hard to believe that it really will get better, but it does, eventually. Like I said before, probiotics did seem to help me (drinking kefir, eating sauerkraut, taking probiotics...). As long as you don't have fever or infection, I would suggest sticking it out for at least 3 weeks and just taking it easy. Really, truly, it's probably the blood causing the irritation and it just takes time to reabsorb as there's nowhere for it to go and no exit. Best of luck!
my cyst ruptured on june 19th and pain lasted a few days and went away but while intercourse causing the pain to come back severe and hasnt went away its been a week now. went to gyno and all he had to say is no signs of infection and that the cyst must of had blood with the rupture and that is what is causing me to have pain in different areas because the blood is moving when i move. but no worries it will go away go home take pain killers for the pain...does anybody have any advice on this. i feel maybe a second look by a differnt gyno is needed...
So sorry you're in such pain! You didn't say how long ago it was that you were seen or when you came to know that you had cysts and their sizes as stated, but I know that ruptured cysts cause a whole lot of hurt, especially when passing anything. Felt just like giving birth, in my experience. For me, that pain when passing anything (even gas, no kidding) continued to be severe for 3 weeks after the rupture, then it tapered off quickly. Still not completely pain free, but nothing too bad. So, consider how long it's been since your rupture and take every measure possible to prevent constipation! If you're feverish, go to the doctor as the rupture can cause infection, otherwise just know that it's going to hurt for a while. I increased my probiotics and that seemed to help. No pain meds helped at all, for me anyway. All the best and hope you feel better soon!
