sharp shooting pains vagina upward..paralyzing 14yrs

I have had irregularly recurrent spells of sharp shooting pains stop me in my tracks kind of pain...usually starts from inner vaginal labia & shoots up to ovaries or when bad hard to tell.  Paralyzing pains...come and go.  Been off BC for 9 years and since then get them way more frequently and they have increased in length.  My old OB ignored me for years about it since intermittent...then finally had lapro to diagnose very mild case of Endo in Feb.2009--2 days after had a "spell" of pains.  But that Dr. wrote off as endo pain.  Switched OBs after he dumped me cause Lupron side effects (menopuse) were worth what lil payoff had for the 3mo...and I wouldn't do another 3mo so he dumped me per say but already had gotten 2nd opinion so think his ego was hurt...lol  Anyway, PCP just referred to OB but here in Oct she wasn't available so saw hubby's PCP and he sent me for CT & showed something so did pelvic/transvaginal UT and found an "abnormal comples lesion" on left ovary...OB said prob. nothing to rescan later.  2 weeks ago had worst and longest "spell" of pain and so finally got referal to do follow up scan today.  Tech couldn't say much other than she thinks it must have "cleared up" but later in scan said things looked like iin normal range and to wait 48hrs for report from Dr.  So did it rupture?  Why couldn't they tell me what kind of lesion or cyst it was?  Is this is what has been causing all those pains.  Sister in law's sister had cysts and when would rotate would give her similar pains, but also heard rupturing could cause same pains so IDK.  Had normal cycles up til surgery in Feb prob from menopause...now relatively normal recurring times just every other month long, then short.  Lots more clots and worsening PMS/PMDD...back pain gets excruciating now.  Really frustrated and confused and not gonna have insurance for much longer....PLEASE HELP!!!  Unsure of anything...nowadays.  Plus could this or these been causes my mood/irritability issues and outbursts of anger??  Mom thinks gotten worse as this has and see Psychiatrist and been through the gamet of those meds but nothing works.  I am 30 now and dying for answers!!!

Trust me I am very frustrated wiht my health but more so with my Dr's and yes I feel my original OBGYN is somewhat at fault for not listening to me; however, with my insurance I have to have referrals and have a small selection of Dr's to chose from.  I just want answers or atleast a diagnosis that is correct or atleast tell me what kind of cyst it is (or was).  I am so lost and dr's thiink I just want pain meds not just an answer.  I am so fed up yet am tied by my crappy insurance for now.  new insurance as of January 1 more expensive but hopefully will be better.  I don't have the funds to seek out help otherwise.  Thanks for responding.  I will be sure to ask about if ruptured and solid masses if any seen on test or if need a different diagnostic screening.  I just wish Dr's cared more and our system was so flawed!!!!

Thanks for the input; however, I have not been diagnosed with a tilted uterus or anything like that.  Unless, something happened during my surgery in Feb. that my  old OBGYN didn't want to tell me.  Yet, nothing showed on the pelvic ultrasounds or CT either.  Thanks for the imput though, I will ask the Dr. when she calls with my most current results--hopefully today or tom or it will be Mon with the holiday.

Hi...i would have shooting pains up into my vagina alot too..for years..mostly when id sit..i was told it was most likely due to having a tilted uterus..which i do have..did they say your uterus was retroverted also?  I know its very painful at times..also can hurt at times when having sex.

I don't have much to go on to make this judgment, but it sounds like the doctors are at fault here.  You really need to see a top rated gynecologist, preferably one that does not do obstetrics as well, just gynecology.  If a cyst ruptures that has solid elements, those pieces don't just go away....they scatter and attach themselves to the internal parts.  I hope that is not what occurred.  Ruptures can hurt for weeks after the event, even for simple cysts. GOOD doctors would give truly good descriptions of whatever you have and would keep tryng to figure out why you have pain.  Cysts can affect mood, but so can menopause.  It's hard to say what is the cause.  Frustration with your health, most likely.
