i really dont know what was wrong with my sis all i know was that today she had sugery and one of her ovaries was removed and my question is what are the health risks from getting an ovary removed if you can respond as soon as possible i would really appreciate it
Other than the risk of infection after any surgery there really aren't any health risks. Her remaining ovary will pick up the slack after a few months and she will still have her fertility (depending on her age). Her hormones may be strange until the other ovary kicks in. It is important that she walk, rest, take foods to help loosen her stools, and avoid lifting according to her doctor's orders. She must drink lots of water too.
I hope all goes well in her recovery.
