sound like a cyst?

I'm wondering if some people who have had cysts leak or burst could tell me if this type of thing has ever happened to them.  I don't know if this sounds like a cyst or not and would appreciate input from those who know best what it feels like/looks like.
Last month just before my period, I had incredible pain.  It was in my back the way my period cramps always are but was sooo much more intense.  I was in the middle of teaching a class and thought I would be sick.  I just couldn't stand to be in my skin.  It went away after a few hours and many advil liquigels and I was putting it down to the fact that my period would be due soon and it was one of those freak things.  Something odd happened, though, when I went to the bathroom shortly after and I had completely wet underwear and I hadn't known it happened.  It was putrid smelling, clear liquid.  It didn't smell like anything I know, but if I had to compare it to something it would be like foul, rancid urine smell.  I didn't feel it happen at all and don't know where it came from.  When I get vaginal discharge, I always feel it.  If I were to laugh and a little urine escapes I feel it happen(not a common occurrence, but it has happened before when I was trying to hold it!).  I had NO idea this had happened.  I didn't even feel wet and I was actually soaked.  I had no UTI symptoms and had a urine test as part of a check up only a few weeks before.  If the pain had been a cyst rupturing would the fluid leak out of me like that?  Shouldn't it be absorbed by my body?  Has anyone had a rancid smell after a cyst burt?  The smell stayed for about 24 hours even after I had a bath and my clothes smelled of it the next day although I had no more fluid in my underwear.  Thanks for any input, ladies!

It's good to know you can probably rule out appendix problems!  Here's hoping that it is related to IBS (although if it is, there is no real treatment).  From what I've read, though, it still looks quite possible that it is cyst related.  Apparently there can be a constant white fluid release with a burst cyst.  I still haven't read about my clear fluid yet or about the urine smell we both have smelled, so who knows.  Hopefully you get answers soon:)

I will most curtainly ask my dr about it. Was your pain intense and then subsided a bit, but you remained to have a linger of crampy pain?? This is how i feel right now. I googled about the appendix and found that one way one can tell if it's the appendix is by laying down and presssing firmly on the lower right side and if you experience more pain when you let off of pushing (this is called rebound something) then it for sure is appendix. I did this move last night and not a bit of pain. Just hardness around belly button area and lower down where the right pelvic region is, was gassy and bubbly. But no pain. My GI dr. has told me in the past that the hardness is poo bound up.  This is why I'm so confused. No fever,or sweating, just a bit of nausea last night, not now though. AND NO Pain in the appendix area....soooo weird!
Im begining to think its just the bowles needing to move (i do have ibs), or this vaginal thing going on. I thought it was just a yeast infection but treated it now for over a month with cream and difflucan. I'v had this type of infection thing befor and was told it was bacterial vaginitis. I use lever2000 soap and think this is whats causeing it. Concidering its a antibacterial soap. Dr. said it's always good to have a LITTLE bit of bacteria. But I'm such a freak when it comes to hygene that i use the anti bacterial soaps. Thinkin it will kill any bacteria...but truth is we need some. And things like this WILL cause infections because it messes up the ph balance and gets things stirred up.
But i still have the urin (strong) smell. I will though ask him about this.
The things us women go through!!:(
Since your dr.s are out of town, are you able to get into a health clinic. When my drs are booked or out of town i just make appt with the clinic....

I'll keep ya posted!!!:-)

btw., both times the foul urine smell happened were around the time of my period.  Since it seems to be the same for you, I wonder if it is related?  Maybe you could ask at your appointment?  For me, once was not long before it arrived and once was after it arrived.  Thinking back, I believe this has happened to me before a few years ago.  I don't remember whether or not I had pain that time and I'm pretty sure I wasn't on my period but I do remember going to the bathroom unsuspectingly and realizing I was soaked and it smelled bad....

I hope things aren't too uncomfortable for you this weekend.  If the pain gets too bad I think it's safest to go to the ER.  You don't want to mess around with an infection.  Also, if you strongly suspect your appendix, go to the ER as well.

What is really annoying for me is that I just cancelled an appointment with my gyn a few days ago (I have something called Vulvar Vestibulitis) because I have enough medication to get me through a few more months and didn't want to waste his time for nothing.  Then the smell came again and got me worrying.  Like a fool, I called to see if I could schedule another appointment but they didn't call me back and now they have gone on holiday until mid August.  My GP is also on summer holidays until August.  Since I'm not in any real pain I guess it doesn't matter.  I don't know whether to go in when they are back and ask about it after the fact or just not bother unless it happens again.  My Gyn isn't easy to get an appointment with.

Your very welcome and hey...we're women and you should'nt feel awkward when it comes to discussing any female problems. This is how us women learn about the different things that can and may go wrong with us and how we can offer or get advice...from women experiencing the similar problems. So feel free to talk away about anything...that is why i luv these forums. Discussing real problems with real ppl...LOL

But anyways...:-)
I actually was experiencing more pain today and severe bloating. I called my gyno dr and explained my symptoms and they are getting me in first thing monday morning.
I have been whereing pantyliners cause I was taking the diflucan pill for yeast infections and using the 7 night cream. Today i noticed the yucky urine smell. Smells like you peed your pants and never changed..LOL
I do have IBS and don't know if all this pain is coming from the combo of the ibs, cysts on ovaries, period about to start or appendicitis...
Ive been online lookin and lookin for everything on appendicitis and anything about ovarian cysts. Some things i read are VERY scarey and make ya panic and debate on weather or not you should run to the ER or not....
I beleive though that i may have bacterial vaginitis from using lever2000 soap. I've had this vaginitis thing before and changed everything but the strong soap...so thats on my list to do things after the dr. appt monday.
Have you made an appt with your dr. or called to see what they thought it could be?
Just to play it safe I would make an appt w/your gyno dr if ya had'nt already. He may just be able to releive your mind.

I hope everything turns out for you, and you get some answers.
I'll keep in touch....and like i said don't feel so awkward, i've asked my friends family and dr. some pretty embarressing awkward questions. LOL

Thanks ibbrave7:)  I've been looking through these forums and on the net and I haven't found a single person with cysts that complained of foul smelling urine-type leakage.  So bizarre.  It's interesting that you smelled something at one point though.
It looked and smelled like people describe the elusive g spot except I had not been excited or sexually charged in any way.  I had been teaching phonics!

I appreciate your response.  It is nice to have people to talk to about such an awkward thing.

Hello...I was diagnosed once couple years ago with having a cyst on left ovary with fluid in pelvis. My symptoms were severe aching in pelvic and vaginal area. Pap and test normal. Heating pads and ibproffen would'nt even make it go away. Just slightly took the edge off. Then I had an ER trip for some similar symptoms and could'nt get in right away to the dr. They did a wet mount and pap along with a vaginal ultrasound and pelvic ultrasound. They did a very thourogh exam on me and only come back as fluid in my pelvis again. She told me I had a cyst that must have bursted. I guess from what she told me that your body gradually absorbs it naturally. But she was only an ultrasound tech. Not quite sure if you can leak anything out or not but I don't see why it's impossible to eaither.

As of right now I've been tackling a yeast infection for the past month and noticed during intercourse it slightly hurt like i was bruised and afterwards had a foul urine odor.
Then couple days ago I got this severe pain in the very lower right side that shot down to my rectum and vaginal area. It went away and comes back everyday off and on. My period is just a couple days away. So I'm not sure if it's my ovarie had a cyst and it bursted or if it was just ovulation.

So yeah i had the same symptoms as you without the fluid leakage. The pain is horrible!! Theres times i worry if maybe i should run to the ER incase it's appendicitis.

I hope you can get some answers but just know that your not alone....us women go through alot. Like stress is'nt enough for us to deal with huh???  LOL
