HI,
The fallopian tube is the site where the union of sperms and ovum takes place and a pregnancy results. Hence properly functioning tubes is essential for achieving a pregnancy. In case of problems with the tubes there are two options – either tubal surgery which may not always help or IVF.
Hope this helps.
