Treatment

Hi,

I have PTSD from my entire childhood and my marriage, plus Iraq. Needless to say it has caused issues at work, in rare cases with clients, and my relationships. Not to mention I have to run into an unoccupied room to try to cope. Are there any medications or any treatments that I can do for my PTSD? Lorazapam at 1.0mg has not worked.

I always deal with my clients and take care of them to the best of my ability as well as my co-workers. But the memories have been getting worse and I have been getting suicidal a lot more often, in addition to the cutting, in addition finding it harder to control the anger. I can not bear the thought of hurting another person unless to heal them, but it's getting harder and harder not to pick something up and start up. I have tried a few different things with no decrease in symptoms, so I am very stressed and need to get a handle on this NOW...

Well thank you both for the comments and I have a P-doc for things. As far as therapists they generally say I am too much for them and thats after about 10 therapists. As I told my P-doc, there are a lot of things I didnt want to live through and I know there are others that feel the same way. Which is why I want to keep certain things locked up.

I just asked about meds becaue as I said, the old stuff is not doing the trick anymore. As far as what I am going though, there are plenty of others with GID, PTSD, and MPD, but thank you for the words...

drifter0213 has it right.  Talk with a therapist, and there is no time better than the present.  Not addressing these issues with a health care professional sooner, rather than later, is so important.

There is help shawna..... there is.  I am sorry for what you're going through!  It is unimaginable.... and every case is different.  A good therapist and perhaps some medication will help lighten the load.....

i have PTSD too, from combat in panama i take an anti-depressant(zoloft) and an anti-psychotic(respiridone){for schizophrenia} and cogentin(for tardive dyskinesia) i go to group therapy and attend counseling for all of this; see if you can talk to a therapist or a doctor or a psychiatrist ok :)
