Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am sorry to hear about your joint pain. I have a long list of ATB (antibiotics) allergies. In searching for one that I would take my PCP prescribed Levaquin. It made me stagger. I could not put one foot in front of the other and walk a straight line. It was not a slight stagger, it was extreme. It did not effect my concentration or thinking, just my ability to ambulate. I didn't take the next dose per my PCP direction.
Most medication sites have a warning such as this: "Stop taking Levaquin and call your doctor at once if you have sudden pain, swelling, tenderness, stiffness, or movement problems in any of your joints. Rest the joint until you receive medical care or instructions." It has been reported to cause rupture of ligaments.
I don't know it the levaquin has caused your pain or not but I would certainly discuss this with your PCP. If he agrees that this is from the ATB, I would ask his advice.
Best of luck to you, Please let us know how you are doing.
