After A Injury Concerning My LCL

by attackofzach93, Apr 19, 2009 07:49PM
So during the past football season i was injured and saw my doctor who told me i slightly tore my LCL and i then got ibuprofen 600 for the pain and my doctor told me after a month i would be fully recovered, i don't have any time to go see him again and now it is like 6 months since my injury and after working out in PE at school or walking for long distances when i lay down for bed i have problems sleeping because of the pain in my knee. Also, the ibuprofen 600 no longer seems to work and i was wondering if there is anything i can take that may help me pain, Please help doctors!

Hi Attack,

Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. There are no doctors on the forum. Our forum consists of members in chronic pain that offer suggestions, support and information for others in similar circumstances.

I encourage you to discuss this with your parents and return to your PCP. I suffered a complete ACL tear 18 years ago. It took over a year for the pain to stop. However even now it can return depending on my activity level. So it may take some time before you are pain free but certainly this should be re-evaluated.

Please bring your pain to your parents attention. Good luck to you. Take care, Tuck
