Am I on too many different kinds of meds?

I had surgery a couple of years ago. I am seeing a chronic pain specialist. Between him and my family doctor I'm a taking the following every day:
Hydromorph contin 6 mg twice a day
Percocet 10 mg 4 times a day
Gabapentin 1800 mg 3 times a day
Cymbalta 90 mg a day
Amlodipine 5 mg a day
Amitryptiline 100 mg
Two types of insulin
Gravol 100 mg twice a day
Plus Tylenol 500 mg tablet as needed for headache
Now I have a referral to a cannabis clinic ( not on anything yet)

Will all these meds really hard my body? I am afraid of severe withdrawals if I have to stop. I have been on some type of opioids for 2 1/2 years.

Only your Dr. should decide whether or not you are on too many medications. Are you switching to marijuana because you're concerned about opioid addiction?

I recommend you have a very frank conversation with your Doctor. Tell him/her what your concerns are. Your clinician can develop a plan to stop medication(s) safely; if that's what is best for you. NEVER STOP MEDICATIONS ABRUPTLY!

I haven't yet tried marijuana. However, I have tried vaping CBD. It is a derivative of industrial hemp. The CBD didn't relieve my pain. But, it did help a lot w/ my anxiety, sleep, and PTSD symptoms.

Best wishes ...

p.s. I have been on opioids for over 30 years, for RSD, (CRPS1). I assume that I am physically dependent, but I'm not addicted. If a person truly needs pain meds to function, it's unlikely that they would experience a high. Thus what a chronic pain patient craves is relief from the pain, not a craving to get high.

It sounds like the Hydromorph is your long acting pain med and the Percocet  is your hsorting acting med for break through pain. It's not uncommon for a pain Dr to prescribe a long acting and a short acting med together.
I'm confused about your Drs. Are you saying you have a pain Dr and your family Dr? Or, are you looking for a pain Dr? Most family Drs these days will not prescribe pain meds for this long. If you're seeing two different Drs do they both know what you're taking?
I can't tell you if you're on too many meds. Only your Dr, or Drs can do that. You may want to think about changing your Percocet to Oxycodone because Percoset contains Acetaminophen, which can sometimes be hard n the liver. They're basically the same med.
