Are the meds I have been prescribed safe to take with each other?

I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. My primary Dr prescribed Cymbalta 60mg and 1800 mg Gabapentin. I was still having debilitating pain after 5months. I recently saw another doctor who for once actually listened to me and took time with me which I did like and he did not write me off as someone just seeking medication. I have never been one to take a pill to fix ailments including for a headache.
This new dr. Prescribed hydrocodone 7.5mg 3 times a day along with atriptyline 25mg (for sleep) and Lyrica 75mg along with the cymbalta and gabapentin.
My question is...is this safe? I don't know alot about perscription medication but at the same time I have been in so much pain if it is a safe regimen I am willing to go with it.
He may have meant for me to stop the Gabapentin when the lyrica comes in...it has to be mailed or my insurance won't cover it.
Any help with my concerns would be so greatly appreciated

Contact your doctor and ask to have your med plan explained to you.  You can also talk with your pharmacist but i would start with your doctor.  Many times we have to be our own advocate.
