Hi Debbie!
Facet joints are present in the back of the spine. Facet arthropathy is basically arthritis of these joints. Usually this is treated with pain killers, muscle relaxants, and steroids. Other treatment modalities too can help such as strength training, stretches, traction, hydrotherapy, etc. However, only your doctor can decide the best treatment option for you.
Please discuss with your doctor. Take care!
