Back pain

Hi. I had knee surgery 5 years ago and 3 years my back is hurting severely.I am on 6 percacets a day but it just eases the pain, does not get rid of it mri shows at L5/S1, There is broad cental disc bulging with annular tear abutting the thecal sac and in close proximity to the S1 nerve root origins. could anyone explain what this means and is this for life. I had 2 epidurals did no good had minor and major trigger points injections. any help would be very much appreciated.

You need to talk to your doctor about an extended release medication as the amount of Tylenol your taking daily is too much. Also you will not get to a point where the meds take away all the pain, they will simply dull the pain to an acceptable level so you can function.
You will find that the extended release meds work better and you may need a break thru medication as well but this is the safer more effective way to treat your pain.
