Bad calf pain

So I'll give a lot of detail about the incident

So I was out exploring the forest behind my house for like an hour or so. So I see a little stream and I try to jump over it. I long jump over it. It was about 13 or so feet. I made the jump. I landed and there was a pop. So I stumble down and lay there for about 3 minutes holding the right side of my calf. It is on the right side of the calf in about the middle region. So I stumble back to my house. Up and down Hills. I walked about a quarter mile to get home. It took me about an hour. I have been icing it and laying down since. This all happened about 2 and a half hours ago. So any ideas of it it just a strain or pull? There was a pop so it is kind of scaring me. Any ideas?

I also can barely walk on it. When I do it hurts very bad.

While doing pressure work our body produces a waste product called lactic acid which can add to soreness and reduce performance if not removed from the muscles. Muscular vibration which contributes to fatigue can also decrease performance levels. To get rid of calf pain while walking you can try calf compression sleeves. These sleeves provide muscle stability and prevent further harm to the damaged area. These also reduce cramps and has capacity to target areas that need compression. You feel less fatigued while performing your daily workout routine. Also chances of painful micro tears are reduced.

Hi Catz,

Sorry to hear about your injury. The "pop" is concerning.

It's been 12 hours now. How are you feeling? Is the area swollen, bruised or misshaped? Icing and rest is the usual procedure for any injury.

If you are not significantly better you should consult your PMP. What could it be? It's impossible to guess. It could be a muscle rupture - or a nasty bruising. It's important that you get this medically diagnosed.

I hope you'll let us know how you are doing.

Best of Luck,
~Tuck
