Bruised Ribs

About a year ago I was in a car acident and went to the hospital and was told I had pluericy (spelling? sorry) and then had a follow up and found out I had bruised ribs also. However, they still hurt. Why is that?

Hello and Welcome to the Pain Mangement Forum. I'm sorry to hear you are having pain.

In my opinion bruised ribs should not hurt a year after the injury. Are you experiencing some pleurisy again or other similar issues?

Please return to your PCP or seek a second opinion. I would get to the root of your painful symptoms.
