Chronic pain in ankle - diag with RSD

After numerous meds my son eventually put on Lyrica in combination with Nortriptyline, unfortunately the Lyrica did not work. Also been tried on Neutontin.  The only meds that seem to work are narcotics and he is only 25 so a lifetime of these does not seem a great idea.  Is there any other tx that he can be looking for when discharged from the army.

RSD pain is the worst known to mankind, and usually follows a severe trauma. I have RSD in the right leg, hip, shoulder, and back. There isnt much you can do for it, and most meds dont really work.

There is a few places you can go for information.

Look in the links section in this forum for lots of great websites with information on RSD.

The people at this website are very kind, and knowledgable about all aspects of RSD.
It is a terrible disease I wouldnt even wish on my worst enemies, good luck, and I hope your son finds some kind of relief.

Get him to a pain management center for a consult.  They have many different shot recipes for chronic pain.
