Hi Flash,

Thanks for the update. I'm sorry your test has been postponed. Sorry to hear about your symptoms. You can have an inner ear problem that would cause vertigo without having ear pain.

There are several conditions that can effect your equilibrium. It would be impossible for me to guess especially because your only symptom is vertigo. It will take a good clinical exam and probably some additional testing to determine the source of your symptoms.

The organ of balance in your inner ear is the vestibular labyrinth, Inside this structure are the semicircular canals, they contain fluid and sensors that help keep your balance. The ear also works with your eyes and certain nerves to control your balance. When they do not work in unison, vertigo can also be the result. Again there are multiple conditions that can affect these structures that would not necessarily cause pain.

I hope you are able to see a physician soon to get this diagnosed. Please let us know how you are doing. Good luck and take care, Tuck

Hey Flash:

I have to agree with Tuck on this one. Vertigo can actually make you very ill. Depending on the severity of the infection and the amount of fluid build up.

I feel that it is very wise to have the Doctor run those tests and determine the cause of your symptoms. You never want to undergo a procedure that requires anesthesia when your body is fighting an infection. That can be dangerous or sometimes even fatal.

Neither Tuck or I can diagnose or tell you what might be going on in your system at the moment. Only a qualified Doctor can do that.

I am very sorry that you're not feeling well at the moment. Please take care and keep us posted.

My best,
Mollyrae
